It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 13^th edition of "ADVANCED CERTIFICATE COURSE IN DIABETES 2022(ACCD 2022)", to be held on 28-29 August, 2022 on DIGITAL PLATFORM. Further, it is a matter of great pride to announce that ACCD2022 is being organized in collaboration with EASD(European Association for the Study of Diabetes) this year.

Though we wished to have a face to face live program this year, in view of the prevailing uncertainties about COVID-19 as well travel and gathering related risks, ADVANCED CERTIFICATE COURSE IN DIABETES 2022 (ACCD2022) will be a VIRTUAL MEETING once again this year. Nevertheless, it is indeed a matter of great satisfaction that ACCD, which was organized in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic till last year, continues its endeavour in disseminating latest information and enhancing the clinical acumen of participating physicians in the field of diabetes.

EASD(European Association for the Study of Diabetes) is one of the largest associations of diabetologists with members from over 100 countries worldwide. The aims of EASD are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, the rapid diffusion of acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application. Dr. Makkar’s Diabetes and Obesity Centre has been actively involved in promoting education in the field of diabetes and obesity by regularly offering structured education programs in the field of diabetes and obesity for physicians and family practitioners for almost two decades. EASD collaboration and academic support for ACCD2022 is certainly a matter of pride and endorses our efforts in the field of diabetes and obesity education.

Once again, ACCD2022 will focus on recent developments in understanding of diabetes and their clinical implications in a highly interactive format. State of the art lectures, debates, updates from latest trials, real-life case study templates and workshops delivered by academic leaders in the field of diabetes will create ample opportunities to learn and discuss the application of current concepts of diabetes management to clinical practice. The course aims at enhancing knowledge and clinical skills of the participating physicians, thereby empowering them to deliver world-class diabetes care in clinical practice.
